EMR Project Manager Consultant Job Description:

            Physicians EHR, Inc., seeks independent consultants who have a minimum of two years experience implementing one or more EMR systems in ambulatory care settings. Preferred candidate has a clinical or practice administrator background, understands workflows in the ambulatory care setting, including the intricate relationships between specialists and referring physicians.

Selected candidate will be a project manager to physician practices nationwide to select, implement, and deploy selected software. Build infrastructure (policies/ procedures, change management, prepare for PQRI and ePrescribing, overall physician advocate) to make the most of the move to EHRs. Coordinate implementation with EHR vendor to ensure stability of vendor/physician relationship. Act as communication specialist and liaison to support data migration. Approximately one in four transitions include demographic migration from old PM to new PM system.

            Typically manage 3-5 simple to complex implementations from preferred vendors simultaneously.  

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience deploying, training, or supporting electronic medical records or practice management software systems in ambulatory physician practices is mandatory
  • Undergraduate degree in Technical, Medical or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer-focused professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. "Can-do" mentality and ability to participate in implementation, training, and post-implementation software support for physician practices of all specialties.
  • 50 - 60% nationwide travel
  • Medical billing background a big PLUS
Compensation:

            This is a consulting opportunity reporting directly to the CEO. Consultants earn between $75 to $125 per hour, depending on experience and complexity of assignment.
